Running of The Wolves
Setting The first of flowers are starting to bloom as the snow begins to melt. The trees are beginning to grow their leaves once again, and the sun is shining brightly. There is occasional showers, but it is mostly light. Note: The biomes in which the weather would stay the same mostly year-round is the same here. For example; the frozen tundra would only have seasons Winter and Summer, the desert would be extremely hot and freezing at night, etc. Breeding: Yes Birthing: Yes	Welcome Plot The year is 2025. Everything is the exact same way it was in 2009. Except, there is a new, undiscovered part of the world. The weather changes drastically with each biome. There is also something else new: wolves inhabit each biome. Each biome has its own pack. These packs are in constant fighting. First, everything is calm. Then war breaks out. It's calm again. Fighting arises once again. It's been like this since this area has had packs. Will you be a wolf set out to save this area, destroy it, or dominate it? Male of the Month Disturbed News 6.5.09 Okay, first of all, I know it's a little late, but, Happy Fourth of July! Hope you all had an awesome day yesterday! Anway, it's been a while since I've done an update, huh? Almost two months. I've got quite a bit of stuff to talk about. First, I added some new affies to the affiliates table. Go check them out sometime. Second, I changed the season! Finally, eh? x3 Now it's going to warm up. =3 Make sure to roleplay to that weather. Third, I've noticed that we don't have too much activity going on as I would like. There's a fair amount, but I think there could be more. Make sure to tell your friends about RTW and how awesome it is! Last, but not least, no one is getting an award for July, because all the polls ended up having a tie! How weird is that? Though I'm glad everyone likes each other's characters so much. ^_^ But there is going to be awards for August, hopefully, and I'm going to include all the new characters in it. Make sure to vote! 4.25.09 Haha. Yay! I finally made the mini-banner. -proud- =D Make sure to check it out sometime. ;] Also: I added a little something new to the character board. Go onto your character's thread, click modify, copy everything, put it on a notepad or something (perhaps practiceboard.com ) so you don't forget it, delete it, then start a new thread, and you'll figure out what's new. =3 3.29.09 Hmm. I think we're ready to officially open. And by officially open, I mean that we can start advertising and affiliating, letting the public join, permit roleplay, etc. I've got the affiliate table in. I still haven't made the mini banner for RTW yet, but I'll get it done sooner or later. Also, we're not going to have any awards for March. It's already the end of the month. We'll try to get awards out for April, though. If not, May is a definite. Dobie put in a little thingy in the Characters board to show which positions are open and closed. That should help, no? ^^ Keep checking in! 3.28.09 Well, we've already got people joining. Six members. That's good. But we haven't officially opened. We're accepting characters, but there's no roleplaying going on, and there will not be any roleplaying going on until I've got all the coding and HTML junk done. That includes the plot. By the way, this is Ninetails. I'm gonna be doing all the coding crap and news stuff. If Dobie wants to add something, I'll do it for her, since she'll probably pass out from all the tags and codes there is on here =P Anyway, the boards are done, unless Dobie or I want to make a new board. The form for the characters is done. We're basicly finished except for a few things. Don't worry; you won't have to wait too long to roleplay! (Sorry if that was a little skimpy. It's 2:45 in the morning as I write this.)	Status All is calm. There is no rivalries, quarreling, or anything of the sort. Everyone seems to be getting along fine with each other..for now. Forest
	The Clearing This is a large clearing, where the pack nearest often comes to meet with the other members of the group. There isn't much large animals that you can hunt here, but there is some rabbits and hares and field mice.	0	0
	Glacial Falls This waterfall is quite high, reaching 200 feet. It looks a lot like Niagara Falls, but not as wide. The bottom forms a lake, which you can drink out of and hunt salmon in, but you shouldn't swim in it. It is extremely cold, which is how it got its name. Trees surround it.	0	0
	The Dens Here there are a lot of makeshift dens that you can sleep in. Lone wolves can settle in these for the night. Not only are there makeshift dens, there are real dens. "Single" mothers often make dens for their cubs, so you can use these when they are unoccupied. Not only is this the place where there are dens, there is also where there is the most prey. Deer, elk, some bison, rabbits, birds, and mice are here. You can hunt in this area freely.	0	0
Desert
	Circle Caves Here is where the wolves sleep. It's a circle, rimmed by caves. Be careful though, The cave can be flooded by a flash flood. If this happens, You'll have to go to a even higher part in the cave.	0	0
	Shadow Puddles Here are puddles from flash flood. This is you're only water source, unless you drink the flooded caves once they are flooded, so be careful to use it and not abuse it. It is covered by a hang over so, it doesn't evaporate as quickly.	0	0
	Cactus Hill Cactus Hill is covered in hills of sand. Be careful though, Alot of sand storms form here as well. You may want to come with more then one wolf when you're traveling through this part of the desert. The cacti can provide some shelter from the flying sand, but sometimes it isn't enough. So watch out.	0	0
Frozen Tundra
	Evergreen Dens Evergreen Dens are little groups of evergreens, making a small spot for shelter. Alphas have their own 3 treed shelter, as well as betas. While, other members normally huddle up, with the oldest members in the toward the center of the group.	0	0
	Ice Lake The Ice Lake is a lake that has a thin sheet of ice over it nearly all the time. In the winter, it has a pretty thick sheet of it, maybe enough to hold a wolf up, but, It isn't to smart to try it. If you fall, you're most likely to be a goner.	0	0

Canyon

	The Canyon River The Canyon River is a deep river at the bottom of the canyon. It curves around it and is rough, so be careful around it.	0	0
	Cliff of Death Cliff of Death is the highest Cliff of all the Cliffs in this territory, it is a deadly drop, and if you fell off it'd be an instant death, there for, it's name. You may find some mice here and there against a wall going up to it, or coming down from it.	0	0
Rain Forest
	Shaded Roots Shaded Roots is a place where trees have holes in their roots. This is where most wolves sleep. It's pretty cool, so you normally see two wolves per tree root hole, huddled up for warmth.	0	0
	Shattered Swamp Shattered Swamp is a swamp surrounded by trees. 	Froggy Trails Here is a small, muddy trail. Watch where you set your paws, other wise you'll end up stepping on multiple frogs.	0	0
Plains

	The Stream The Stream is a small stream that snakes its way through the The Flat Land. You may find a few fish here and there, their small though.	0	0
	The Flat Land The Flat Land is a piece of that that stretches for acres. Here is where most wolves hunt. You have to be quick here, mostly all you'll find is rabbits.	0	0
Ocean
	Shore This is the shore of the ocean. When you stand at the shoreline, you feel the gentle touch of the waves brushing the sand. There isn't much to eat here, because the fish are deeper in the water. If you're desperate, though, and you can swim, you can wade into the ocean to find some game. Also, there is some seagulls that often fly around. You could hunt those, but they are hard to catch unless their wings are injured.	0	0
	Horizon Island There is a relatively large island in the ocean. It seems as if it's right on the horizon line, hence its name, yet it isn't that far away. If you're a good swimmer, and you have enough energy, you can swim to it. There is a couple of monkeys on it, turtles, and some rodents such as mice. 	Rocky Mountains These aren't exactly mountains, but they're quite tall. If you try to climb this terrain, be careful; a stone can easily slip under your foot and you can fall to your death.	0	0
Mountains
	Summit This is the summit of Mt. Wolverine. This is the tallest mountain of this range. It is actually quite difficult to reach, considering its height and how steep it is. It is also very cold. You could freeze to death up here.	0	0

	Base This is the base of Mt. Wolverine. Not much stuff here. You can find some snowshoe hares running around, but other than that it's basicly nothingness down here. Though, this is a good spot to just stop and have a private chat with someone.	0	0
Unclaimed Lands
	Golden Field Here in the Autumn, the grass dry out, making them Gold. You will find prey here, as well as other wolves hunting in the somewhat tall grass.	0	0
	Falling Star Creek Falling Star Creek is strong for a creek. It reflects the stars in the sky at night. Sometimes it moves to fast, it looks as if it takes the stars in the water, making them fall.	0	0
	Song Forest There is so many song birds in this Forest, there for how it got it's name. Wolves come here to relax, talk, sleep, who knows what else.	0	0
	Dry Lakebed Here is a small lake, now-a-days it doesn't hold water much. The ground is soft, but if you dig deep enough you may find water. The dry, dusty, cracked banks are sometimes used as dens. You may find some sort of prey scurrying around.	0	0
